"Happy Again"

Tess does a double take and sees Jordan, her ex. Jordan spots Tess and they both pretend to not see one another. Tess slowly turns around and heads to where Jordan is standing in the street.

Tess: So.

Jordan: Hey.

Tess: Go anywhere interesting recently?

Jordan: "I took that trip to Japan."

Tess: Finally. Congrats. You talked about that a lot. 

Jordan: I wish you could have come with me.

Tess: Stop. Don't pretend. You were happy when it was over. 

Jordan: You weren't?

Tess: "I leaned on every one of my friends" for months. I know they were sick of it.

Jordan: "And you moved on" so "yeah" guess it's even.

Tess: Even? You literally just said you missed me or whatever. You don't get to come at me. Months before we broke up "I just watched you pretend" you knew what you were doing. "Pretend that you were happy again" in our relationship when obviously you weren’t.

Jordan: (mockingly) Obviously. 

Tess: Remember that party at Abi's? 

Jordan: I still have to apologize to her for that time "you laughed so hard you spilled a glass of wine." 

Tess: On her white shag rug of all places. Not the best. 

Jordan: "I took a mental picture of the crime."

Tess: Do you know what happened to that rug?

Jordan: She threw it out and bought another one.

Tess: "I should have known." Well, we're busy people. See you.

Jordan: Sure.
