"Foundations" 🅴

Fiya (pronounced fie-ya) is staring out her apartment window, bored. Bunny, Fiya's best friend, is sitting on the couch near Fiya doing some kind of puzzle.

Bunny: Yo, what day is it?

Fiya: It's "Thursday night." 

Bunny: Quarantimes is so confusing. 

Fiya: Girl, you need to get a job. I know you got laid off, but it's time.

Bunny: Nah, "everything's fine." This puzzle book and all the streaming keeps me going.

Fiya: "Except you've got that look in your eye." I’m asking, don’t hate me, are you sure you’re okay?

Bunny: Honestly yes. My brothers are both sending me money.

Fiya: Well that is lucky!

Bunny: Until they find out that I'm not really looking. Then they're going to freak and get so mad like "when I'm telling a story and [they] find it boring." They get unreasonably irate.

There's a comfortable silence.

Fiya: What's up? "You're thinking of something to say."

Bunny: Can we go through a hypothetical? "You'll go along with it?"

Fiya: Yes, but if it's too dark "then drop it."

Bunny: That's fine, it's not dark, I'm just thinking about ways to "humiliate me in front of our friends."

Fiya: Why? That's so random.

Bunny: Okay so get this. We'd be at a party and there would be a bunch of people approaching us because obviously we're hot and have that magnetic energy. But here's the catch, everyone is blah and I don't want to maintain any conversations and instead just laugh a little and go between groups while enjoying whatever punch and mixed drinks are available. Anyway to get out of these conversations "I'll use that voice that you find annoying and say something like 'Yeah, intelligent input darling" and they just walk away because it is not worth the drama to keep a conversation with me going. 

Fiya gets up to go to the kitchen area.

Fiya: We have got to get you out more. But speaking of drinks, it'll take a second but you want me to make you something?

Bunny: (in the annoying voice) If it takes so much time "why don't you just have another beer then?"

Fiya: Keep me out of this day dream you're having. 

Bunny: If we really wanted to start something "then you'll call me a bitch and everyone we're with will be embarrassed." And guess what?

Fiya: I'm going to regret this. What?

Bunny: "And I won't give a shit."
