"How Much More"
Mac and Shera are continuing to chip away at the stone sculptures that are in front of them. Shera's sculpture is a little more well defined than Mac's sculpture which looks like a mound of jagged stone.
Mac: "How much more am I supposed to take?"
Shera: Just clear your mind.
Mac: This is brutal.
Shera: This is supposed to help you relax.
Mac: You said this would be fun, but honestly, Shera, "how much more am I supposed to break" until it turns into something?
Shera: You asked for me to take your mind off of things. "You asked for time."
Mac: I did because I needed a distraction. Not the challenge of a century.
Shera: And this "time takes you away." If you wanted something easy you should have asked someone else.
Mac: "I'm alone."
Shera: And?
Mac: "and you're… you're a man."
Shera: What?
Mac: You're a man about these types of things. Stoic. Straight. You move right on to the next thing. "I need you closer to me." You make the best decisions.
Shera: No.
Mac: What do you mean no? I need your help.
Shera: "My hands are tied." You're not going to rely on me this time.
Mac: Why not? You're always my go to.
Shera: There's a difference between being your go-to for advice or a shoulder every once in a while and another to be who you solely rely on for everything.
Mac: Fine leave me. Leave me like everyone else.
Shera: You're willing to give this entire friendship up "because I won't say goodbye" to other people we've been friends with solely because you can't figure your ish out?
Mac: Yes.
Shera: Well "I tried." Guess you should find a ride-share after we're done here.
Shera keeps chipping away at her statue not looking over. Mac goes from furious to desperate and pleading.
Mac: No you can't leave me stranded. "I told you I was brave but I lied."
Shera: "Is this the story" you tell yourself and everyone else?
Mac: It’s true this time.
Shera: "Or is it the end" of the line and you need another hypothetical fix from someone and I'm the only one left.
Mac: That's so unfair. I'm… I'm… I'm… Your… I'm…
Shera: "I always kill your shadow" story and it pisses you off and we stop talking for a few weeks, but then we're back, but a little less together because you can’t expect to be fully forgiven every time.
Mac: Well if that's how you feel then "here we are again."
