"Mind Your Manners" 🅴
Three friends are at a club on a Friday night. Friends ! and Friend @ are waiting for Friend #.
Friend !: Why are we here still?
Friend @: Stop being old. it's fun. We don't do this enough.
Friend !: Where is she? She went to the bar like twenty minutes ago.
Friend @: Probably getting hit on. Here she comes.
Friend # approaches with drinks.
Friend #: Why are you looking at me like that?
Friend @: Get any numbers?
Friend #: Actually yeah. But I'm like 90% sure it's not a real number.
Friend !: Try it!
Friend # tries the number and gets the tone and message that the number has been disconnected.
Friend #: I knew it! It was a weird encounter.
Friend !: "And you get the wrong number" yet again! This happens to you more frequently then I've ever heard of with anyone else.
Friend #: I didn't even ask for this one. "If I don't like you" I'm not asking. It’s pretty simple.
Friend @: "Say I'm the man," what did you do?
Friend #: I was ordering our drinks and I could feel a group of guys keep looking over. They kept punching one of their friends in the arm.
Friend !: Typical. Okay and then what?
Friend @: Let her finish.
Friend #: Then he came over and asked me what the best pickup line I ever heard was. Then I told I hadn't heard any good ones. He called me a liar. "Tell me why I gotta lie" in a situation like this? I have nothing to lose.
Friend !: Was it like a flirty thing when he called you a liar?
Friend #: I guess. But it came off rude. I would have had a better conversation with "anybody" else.
Friend !: Well "I’m the best" and "girl let me advise you" on how to respond next time.
Friend #: "Why?"
Friend @: Oh, don't get her started.
Friend !: "Because I'm feeling invincible" right now.
Friend @: You're the one that in "junior high school…had a crush on the principal."
Friend !: "I guess I was turned on by the leadership."
Friend @: Okay wait back to you. How did you end up with a bad number?
Friend #: Oh, easy. "Now we got the game" going. He was "wrapped up on some…shit." I acted like I wasn't interested because I genuinely wasn't and it made him mad. He stormed off. Then while they were making our drinks one of his friends came over and handed me the paper and told me I should call his friend.
Friend @: Yikes. "So tell a hater" he's a hater.
Friend !: We should. They can't act like that and get away with it.
Friend @: "…I know they hatin' on us" that's a reason to find them.
Friend #: Honestly I wouldn't be able to pick them out of everyone here.
Friend !: That might be the biggest burn ever.
Friend #: (sarcastically) Well you know we need to "mind [our] manners" in these situations.
