"Easy"
Mom and Daughter are shopping.
Mom: Did he call you back yet?
Daughter: I haven't even caught you up!
Mom: Oh that doesn't sound great.
Daughter: (starting to tear up) It's so hard.
Mom: You okay? Why are you crying?
Daughter: No, don't. I’m not.
Mom: But…Nothing bad happened?
Daughter: "Hey mom, I know I'm cryin' but you don't have to worry 'bout me."
Mom: You're crying and I always worry about you.
Daughter: No nothing bad. He just decided it wasn't worth his time anymore.
Mom: Well that's some bullshit!
Daughter: MOM!
Mom: Are you telling me it's not?
Daughter: (laughing) I mean you're not wrong. It is bullshit. Wait look at that dress!
Mom: That's cute.
Daughter: It looks like it is on sale. "Hang on, I might be lyin'."
Daughter goes to the window.
Daughter: That's too expensive!
Mom: I'm over here near this bookstore. I need to get your nephew something.
Daughter: Me too! That's a cool poster over there - "but a lion in a jungle is a king.” Some motivational content.
Mom: Is a five year old into motivational posters?
Daughter: Everyone could use some inspiration.
Mom: Alright you can get that for him and I'll get a couple of actual books. So what about you? What's next?
Daughter: Well, "I was in trouble" with this last one. Put too much emotion into it. I was "living in a bubble and I was gonna keep on fooling myself." It would have been really easy to keep fooling myself.
Mom: So that's one way to do it. But glad you're realizing it's probably not the right way. "Thinking it was normal" to just be "living in a box," especially a self-made box.
Daughter: Agreed! "I didn't know what I was doing" but I'm learning.
Mom: All you can. What was it you figured out about this one?
Daughter: "I was in love, that wasn't love, it wasn't love."
Mom: So "there's nothing left?"
Daughter: Nope. "And that's alright. It wasn't right. 'Cause now it's over and now it's easy."
Mom: I'm proud of you.
