"Secrets"

Xandra, Yasmin, and Zhen are grabbing lunch.

Xandra: I can't believe it's been months already. What's new with you both?

Zhen: Everything and nothing.

Yasmin: Ohhh secretive are we not? 

Zhen: I know. It's just so much easier for me to keep it to myself. "To hide the things we don't like about ourselves." 

Xandra: But you do know you're with us? Don't hide. No need to hold it all "inside ourselves."

Zhen: "I know."

Yasmin: Well that means "I'm not the only one who spent so long" hiding from the world. Until a few years back I was "attempting to be someone else."

Xandra: You've never really gone any further with that one. 

Zhen: "Well I'm over it." I want everyone to know "I don't care if the world knows what my secrets are."

Yasmin: Shout them to the world, Zhen!! Let the world know what your "secrets are."

Xandra: Yes! Let's trash everything. "I don't care if the world knows what my secrets are" either! 

Yasmin: What do we say to whatever our "secrets are?"

Xandra: "So what!"

Yasmin: "So what!" 

Xandra: "So what!" 

Xandra, Yasmin, Zhen: "So what!"

Yasmin: This is fun. These bubbles are fun. I like disregarding the world. "I can't think straight!"

Zhen: "I'm so gay."

Xandra: "Sometimes I cry" for no reason. Sometimes for "a whole day."

Yasmin: "I care a lot" about you guys. I don't care what your secrets are. 

Zhen: I "use an analog clock."

Yasmin: (fake exasperation) No? Not an analog clock? 

Xandra: I "never know when to stop" talking. You guys have taught me so much about tact and when to let loose. 

Yasmin: "And I'm passive aggressive." But you both know that. 

Zhen: "I'm scared of the dark."

Xandra: Don't forget "and the dentist."

Zhen: Shhhh that one is embarrassing. 

Xandra: It's okay. I not so secretly "love my butt and won't shut up" about it.

Yasmin, Zhen: We know!

Yasmin: Wanna know something that is terrifying?

Xandra, Zhen: Yeah.

Yasmin: "I never really grew up." Sometimes I feel like I should be the kid, not my actual young children. How do humans take care of each other?!

Zhen: Miraculously!

Xandra: We're trained. "They tell us from the time we're young. To hide the things that" we're not ready for. 

Zhen: To hide the things "we don't like about ourselves."

Yasmin: Well then cheers to being ourselves and not getting caught up in our own drama!
