Paul is calling from the hall. Jenn is stuck looking at herself from the mirror.

Paul: Goddammit. I've been calling you for 5 minutes. Where are you?

Jenn: Back here at the mirror.

Paul: Again? I "can't figure out just how you do it."

Jenn: Well "God knows I never will" understand. It just started happening years ago. Anyway, if I knew then I'd be rich and we wouldn't have to figure out how to make up the rest of the rent this month.

Paul: My modeling gig fell through.

Jenn: Again? Paul, that's 6 months now that you haven't worked.

Paul: Well if that's what you want we can break up. You're the one that "went for me."

Jenn: Stop it. You know that's not what we're talking about.

Paul: You know I went for you "and not her" and I don't know if that's right anymore.

Jenn: You want to leave? Leave. Don't come back.

Paul: What is wrong with your sex. You all act like "girls your age know better" and don't need anyone. You need us. You need me.

Jenn: "I've made some real big mistakes." I know that, "but you make the worst one look fine."

Paul: Oh, look at you. You get pulled in by that loser. You probably still love him. "I should've known it was strange" the first time I saw you get pulled in. I can hear everything between the mirrors you know.

Jenn: Max is better than you'll ever be. At least he loves me. You just sit around and mope and pretend like you're going to get a gig.  "You only come out at night." You know what. "I used to think I was smart." That this relationship was what I needed. It’s not.

Paul: What are YOU going to do?

Jenn: (to herself) "But you've made me look so naive." What are we doing? Get out of here and don't come back.

Paul: Like you're going to be able to live here alone.

Jenn: It's not like you've paid for anything in months. Look at "the way you" are pouting. You'd just as well have "sold me for parts" to make up your side. I'll be just fine. "As you sunk your teeth into me" I’ve learned my lesson.
