Jenn walks slowly to the merry-go-round in a deserted playground. On the outside, she spins it, walking around and around.
Jenn: "I can see magic." No one believes in it, but what else could it be. A curse is still magic. "In your eyes" there's always magic. Magic.
Eerie Voice: (quietly) You're close. Say it.
Jenn: "I hear the magic." How do I know I'm not hearing things.
Eerie Voice sighs.
Jenn: Well I guess I'm hearing magic "in your sighs." You gave me a card in the mirror. I don't know if it's true. Will you come if I call.
Jenn spins the merry-go-round a little faster and a beautiful devil appears. The devil stretches.
Devil: "Just when I think I'm gonna get away." Someone calls me.
Jenn: You happened.
Devil: I did. Surprised?
Jenn: No. "I hear those words that you always say." I can't escape them.
Devil: Say them now.
Jenn: "Abra-abra-cadabra."
Devil: That's it. I need you to spin this faster. I haven't totally appeared yet.
Jenn: "I wanna reach out and grab ya." What do I do?
Devil: Keep saying the words and spin me faster.
Jenn: "Abra-abra-cadabra...Abracadabra"
There's a bright red light and the merry-go-round slows. Devil steps down.
Devil: "Every time." This is what I have wanted for so long.
Jenn: Are you really the Devil.
Devil: "You call my name," I return, and "I heat up like a burnin' flame." Do you want to take over for me in the "burnin' flame?"
Jenn: Yes.
Jenn steps up on the merry-go-round and Devil starts to spin Jenn around in the opposite direction.
