Max is looking at himself in the mirror in his bedroom. He's sitting on the edge of his bed. He continues to pick up random objects and making sure he's "real" throughout the scene.

Max: She wasn't supposed to just disappear. Why would she not say goodbye. She cut me with her parting words. Words I didn't know were parting words.

"Sometimes I feel something like a ghost."

But technically she's the ghost. I'm just an alien to her. I made a "touchdown in our city" and found her. We found each other. Then she, "like a ghost" left. No trace. Went ahead and decided to "fade right into the black." Never to talk to me again. Not fair. She could have given me a heads up. No one has ever ghosted me before or since. This is what it's like. She’s “like a ghost."

"If I disappeared, would anybody know?" Would my friends call or just assume I wanted to be left alone. Even though I was gone. Jenn.

A mirage of Jenn appears in the mirror.

Jenn: Max. It is over. I told you it was over. You weren't listening.

Max: You're here. You know "sometimes I can feel you." When I think about you hard enough.

Jenn: It's been 8 years. You can't still be talking about this.

Max: Why are you still around? Are you "like a ghost?"

Jenn: No. I'm not a ghost. I can transport in mirrors and you thought about me hard enough it called me to you. You act like we haven't been through this. "You follow me everywhere I go" because you keep calling me. I just want to "ghost" from you and live my own life. You make it impossible.

Max: "Call me crazy or insane, all I know is I feel you too close to let go."

Jenn: You have to let go. Stop bringing me to you.

Max: How? I don't want to.

Jenn: "So I" don't know, but you need to get over me. Stop thinking about me.

Max: Guess I "gotta get out of this ghost town. I gotta move on."

Jenn: Exactly!

Max: Am I strong enough?

Jenn: Yes. Go explore. Do something.

Max: "I gotta get going with my life" if I'm going to lose you.

Jenn: Please.
