"Ghosts"

It's midnight on a night with a full moon. Monstie is sitting at the table. Vampie is standing next to the window. Wofie is lying on the chaise longue. 

Vampie: Are you sure that's what they said? 

Wolfie: I'm 50% sure. We were in the banquet hall. It was loud. "I [couldn't] hear what they're saying."

Monstie: They're ghosts. Who cares what they were saying.

Vampie: We know how you feel about the ghosts but they exist on this plane with us.

Wolfie: Do we have to care though? When I was telling them my human story they kept disappearing. They're going to get caught. “They gotta believe me” so they don’t get tortured.

Monstie: You saved my life with that story. "I'll never forget [your]" anti-human strategies.

Vampie: Humans are the worst. 

Monstie: You both used to be them. 

Vampie: We don't have to accept it. It's been 200 years since I was a human. Do we need to save them?

Wolfie: The ghosts? If nothing else, "every day the ghosts are going to fly" by our house and we can try to intercept them.

Monstie: I say forget it. They'll learn for themselves. They're new to this neighborhood.

Vampie: I'll do it. "Every way I know" how to connect with them "I'm going to try." We have to try in good faith.

Wolfie: You don't need to be valiant.

Vampie:  I wish someone had warned me.

Monstie: What happened?

Vampie: The humans tried "to keep [me] alive” and turn me back. There is a nonesense witch who’s been spreading conspiracies to the humans and making a lot of money off of them.

Wolfie: I wished someone had tried "to keep [me] alive." Werewolf wasn't what I expected when I got bit. Though it was a rabid dog, but that pack abanoned Steve and anyone turned by him. Steve turned back to human only to be run over on the way to work.

Monstie: Enough human talk. Who wants to "take me out into the night?" 

Vampie: Why can't you say you want to go for a walk?

Monstie: I like to be mysterious.

Wolfie: We know. It’s always what “you didn't say." Remember the last walk? You "had no fight" the last time you went out and got attacked. 

Vampie: The humans are going out later and later.

Monstie: "I was on the verge to scream" for help when you saved me, Wolfie. That’s why we should go out together.

Vampie: We are still such a small part of this neighborhood. 

Doorbell rings. They all look at each other. 

Vampie: Who could that be at this hour?

Doorbell rings multiple times in quick succession..

Wolfie: I'll get it. 

Wolfie goes to open the door. Looks out and then down.

Wolfie: Come here. 

Monstie and Vampie join Wolfie.

Vampie: You've got to be kidding. There’s a wounded human at our door.
