"death bed (coffee for your head)"
Charli is at the door of her kids' room.
Charli: "Don't stay away for too long,"
Charli walks down the hall into the bedroom she shares with Sam.
Charli: "Don't go to bed" just yet.
Sam: I'm so tired. I'm just going to go to sleep.
Charli: You've been going to sleep earlier and earlier these last few months. You want to talk about it?
Sam: I have a perpetual headache.
Charli: That's okay. "I'll make a cup of coffee for your head."
Sam: That does the opposite.
Charli: Exactly. "It'll get you up and going out of bed."
Sam: Don't. It'll wake the kids again and I meant my headache will get worse. Just let me go to bed. Alright?
Sam turns off the bedside lamp. Charli keeps hers on and gets the book off the side table.
Sam: "Don't stay awake for too long."
Charli: Please. "Don't go to bed."
Sam: Goodnight.
Charli: Well I can't sleep so "I'll make a cup of coffee" and come back later. Maybe sleep will be good "for your head."
Sam: Tomorrow. Do you need me to wake you up?
Charli: No. When you shower I'll hear.
Sam: Glad that "it'll get you up and going out of bed." You haven't wanted me to wake you up in a long time.
Charli: "I'm happy that you’re here with me."
Charli starts to silently cry.
Sam: I'm happy you're here with me too. Wait, what is going on?
Charli: "I'm sorry if I tear up." It's just that "when me and you were younger, you would always make me cheer up."
Sam: And now?
Charli: And now…now we're too far gone.
