"A Matter of Time"
Gee is in a house that is known to have three ghosts living there. Gee went on a dare. Upon getting scared and anxious Gee calls the friend who started the dare.
Message Machine: Please leave a message after the beep. *beep*
Gee: Pick up… please pick up. I can’t do it. You were right about this. “There’s a panic in this house” and I shouldn’t have questioned you. The energy is off “and it’s bound to surface” even more. You said it would all be fine, but I’m hearing noises. “Just walking through the front door [made] me nervous.”
Looking around.
What was that? Why did I take you up on this? I see a figure down the hall and “it’s creeping up the floorboards.” I can’t stay in one spot. That was going to be my plan, but now it’s “got me wondering where I” should “stand.” Do you even own this place?! Am I trespassing?
What’s that sound now, it sounds like someone’s making bacon. What the… “How can I put out the fire?” Where did it come from? “I’ve got a book of matches in my hand” it wasn’t me. Listen. It. Wasn’t. Me.
Gee starts throwing blankets on the small, blazing waste bin. After it’s out, Gee moves to the couch with legs propped up on a cushion trying to be as little as possible.
This is some sick joke. “When we first met” I did not know that you were this weird. I never believed in ghosts or supernatural things, but you were “headstrong” about it and now I’m “filled with doubt.” Just tell me when I can make a break for it. I don’t think the $1000 for tonight is worth it. There’s this really cold draft now and I’d rather “[make] just enough, hustling tables.”
There’s a loud door slam and a whooshing noise. Gee jumps off the couch and tries to unlock the front door to get out. It won’t budge. A ghostly figure taps Gee on the shoulder and Gee passes out.
